We at buildyourresumenow.com are giving you something that only a select knowledgeable few can do.
SEO is search engine optimization. This means that a website shows up in a Google, Yahoo and MSN search depending on how many times a word is listed. It also depends on if the spiders have crawled them - no not actual spiders! More or less these are "data collectors" that crawl all major websites to bring back information. They then have that data organized into what you now see as Google, Yahoo or MSN Search results.
SEM is search engine marketing. When a website is advertised on Google, Yahoo, MSN, or many other web pages where an ad can be placed, SEM not only allows you to get your name out there, but it also helps increase your listing ranking. Most of the search engines will tell you that SEM is an important part of SEO.
Now what does this have to do with BuildYourResumeNow.com? Everything! First of all, this is the true message I have been trying to get out: if your name is listed at Linkedin.com, Myspace.com, Facebook.com, or even VisualCV.com, your website is less than a sub domain on all of these pages. This means that mostly it will only show up if someone searches for your name. Most employers don’t already know your name. What I am giving you is the ability to be found for your skills, past work history, and the ability to create a targeted search. Not to mention the fact that you will stand out more than most candidates by having your resume totally searchable on the major search engines. Why do you want this? Because it allows recruiters and human recourses people to find you on Yahoo and Google before they even hit the major job boards.
Secondly, most of the major resume sites don’t tell the employers where you want to find a job. We take care of this by allowing you to specify where you want your job search parameters to be set. You can chose from a generally local setting, or by miles from your home. If you want your website blasted statewide or nationwide, we can also help you with that. You want to be able to set the parameters of your search, because now everyone, everywhere will be able to find you.
I wanted to come up with something so that the average Joe looking for a job would be able to use the tools that have helped me. I've gotten interviews and jobs nationwide as well as worldwide!!
